boise public works arts master plan

arts and cultural planning

The Boise Public Works Arts Master Plan is an arts and cultural programming document identifying strategic opportunities for future public infrastructure investment projects within the City of Boise. Integrating art and design professionals into public works project teams is one of its principal aims. The document identifies opportunities in each of the Public Works Department programs: air quality, storm and wastewater renewal, material conservation, reuse, recycling and upcycling, and a unique geothermal water system.

Co-authored with Tilley Bubb, the plan also surveys key precedents, identifying public works collaborations across the U.S., assessing interdisciplinary infrastructure projects that critically engage their communities, develop new public space typologies, and expand social, cultural and educational programming.
