Johnson block Building
historic rehabilitation and renovation
The Johnson Block building is Idaho’s sole surviving example of work by John C. Paulsen, architect of Boise landmark buildings such as the Natatorium, Boise City Hall and the Columbia Theater, all of which have been destroyed.
The project restores and reconstructs the exterior of the building, carefully preserving materials and details while providing as much open and accessible space in the interior as possible.
