foothills house
residential
Located in the foothills of Boise, Idaho, two additions combine landscape and architectural strategies. Stones salvaged from removed walls are reconfigured outward, cladding new kitchen and library additions as well as garden and patio retaining walls. The existing roof structure is allowed to pierce the new curved volumes, blurring the boundaries of old and new as well as inside and out.
